A lot of people were surprised when I told them I would only be bringing a carry on bag and my book bag. It’s a lot more efficient for us in terms of moving throughout the airport and it is really convenient when you don’t have to wait for your luggage at the baggage terminal. For the past couple of years we’ve only travelled with carry on luggage and our longest trip was about 20 days. So if we can make 20 days I think we can make a year.
We will be staying in Airbnbs for the majority of the trip and plan to have places that have washing machines and if they don’t have a washing machine we’ll stay in places that are near laundromats. The majority of the trip will be in warmer weather, which means we won’t really need any winter clothes. Our previous trips were in a sense preparation for the big one. I admit there’s a huge downside to a carry on, there’s a lot of clothes and toiletry items I’d love to bring but I just won’t have the space for. So for those who are wondering this is my list of items that I’ll be bringing.
