Helpful Tips for Krakow

Money

• Currency: Polish złoty
• Credit cards are accepted in most places, but still useful to have some cash
• Tipping is not mandatory, if you really enjoyed the service you can give 10%. Some restaurants will apply a 10% tip, mostly in the higher end ones

Transportation

• Uber and Bolt are available, but not the best for when you’re navigating old town
• There are many electric scooters available
• Excellent public transportation
  • Can use the app for digital tram pass: Jakdojade
    • If you’re predominantly staying in Krakow you should be fine with passes that just cover zone 1

Random

• Most things are closed on Sundays, restaurants should still be open
• DO NOT take pictures in the churches, you are not allowed
